In 2016, PWS launched the Positive Pennine portfolios, which were designed using a wide variety of investments that make a social or environmental difference whilst avoiding certain areas such as fossil fuels, tropical deforestation and mining, to name but a few.

A lot has happened in the last five years. On the 22nd April 2016, the Paris agreement was signed to address climate change and its negative impact. Donald Trump served a term as the president of the United States, and Britain left the European Union. Most recently, we have experienced one of the biggest market crashes and quick rebounds, all whilst the world experiences a global pandemic.

Five-year investment performance can give you an excellent indication of a portfolio achieving its financial objectives. We are pleased to say our Positive Pennine portfolios have been particularly resilient given the volatility of the above events and are proud of the performance as detailed below.

The Positive Pennine Portfolios aim to achieve capital growth over the long term using a wide variety of investments that make a social or environmental difference. The portfolios are actively managed and are risk-rated, ranging from risk 4 – 10 depending on an investors attitude to risk. At PWS, we recommend a medium to long term view when it comes to investments and sees five years as a minimum holding period.

In addition to performance which is obviously a key feature in investing, we can also demonstrate that these investments have achieved an impact on society and environmental related issues.

If you would like to know more about the range of Positive Pennine portfolios or the funds within the portfolios, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Sean Fisher, who will be happy to provide more information.
